My name is Eva Reynoso, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering individual therapy to residents of Illinois via Telehealth. I hold a BA in Early Childhood Education (2012) and an MSW from Dominican University (2016).
After working with students with disabilities and in community-based therapeutic support roles, my desire to help individuals lead fulfilling lives led me to transition into mental health. My career path was further solidified during my role as a School Social Worker at a Therapeutic Day school, which allowed me to merge my educational background with mental health. Over the years, I have worked with clients of all ages in various settings, including community, schools, and private practice.
My primary objective is to deliver affordable personalized therapeutic services, empowering each client on their unique journey towards personal growth and healing.

My passion for helping others can be traced back to nurturing childhood experiences marked by strong family support and resiliency. I was fortunate to grow up in a small town in Jalisco, Mexico, where I learned the value of community support and living in harmony with nature.
At this stage of my life, I have the privilege of reconnecting with my roots as I begin providing therapy in Spanish through my own company: CalmA Therapeutic Services, LLC. I have also partnered with Grow Therapy as an independent contractor to make therapy more accessible by accepting as many insurance providers as possible. Moreover, I am grateful for the opportunity to merge my career with my love for nature by living and working full-time in my RV.
My aspiration is to share the grounding and calming effects of nature through both this platform and my therapeutic work. I hope to assist others in discovering a healing bond within themselves or with their surroundings, the way I have found solace in nature.
My primary treatment approach is CBT because it focuses on providing a hands-on and short-term therapy experience. It maximizes your time by actively identifying helpful strategies during sessions and applying them into your life in between sessions (homework/practice). This approach emphasizes active learning, tracking progress, and revising as needed. Furthermore, it is important to understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence each other (CBT triangle) to identify maladaptive behaviors and generate the change that you need. I also incorporate talk therapy as needed and mindfulness techniques into every session.

DBT skills training consists of four key components: core mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Its purpose is to assist you in recognizing, processing, and managing intense emotions constructively, at times reducing or preventing self-destructive behaviors such as self-harm. This approach emphasizes achieving a balance between accepting and changing challenging situations. This is done by increasing tolerance fostered by mindfulness and emotion regulation techniques. It also involves assessing relationships, with a focus on enhancing positive connections and establishing or maintaining necessary boundaries.

ERP involves gradual exposure to your major fears in order to decrease avoidance and emotionally charged responses to a variety of triggers. It starts with discussing fears, then progresses to visual exposure and confronting the feared elements. I will provide a safe space during our virtual sessions for planning and executing these exposure exercises (some will be done independently outside of sessions, depending on the specific exposure). This treatment is also used for reducing compulsions and obsessions related to OCD. Exposures are used to gradually prevent you from engaging in these behaviors until the triggers are no longer anxiety-provoking.
